Volunteer with Us
The Volunteer Center thrives with a crew of purpose-driven volunteers.

Support our Mission as a Volunteer
When you volunteer with The Volunteer Center, you’re helping us fulfill our mission to strengthen Washington County. Together, we can build and host experiences that empower people to discover their power to make a difference.
Volunteers are the heart of our for-purpose coffee shop. Our primary volunteer roles include working the register, baking or preparing food, serving coffee and espresso as a barista, and/or assisting with general cleaning. No experience? No worries. We thoroughly train and continue to teach as much as you’d like to learn! Ages 16+ please.
[Hub Baker positions currently full. Please check back for updates and consider volunteering for other positions.]
Our volunteer baking team whips up many of the sweet & savory baked goods on our menu. Baking experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train someone eager to learn! Baking volunteers are asked to cover at least one weekly shift on an ongoing basis (life happens and we’ll find coverage as needed!) All baking is done onsite at The Hub.
The Do Good Bus is more than just a means of transportation, it’s a way to bring people together for the common good.
- Do Good Bus Drivers keep the wheels of this program turning (literally)! To make sure this volunteer opportunity is safe for you and participants, you must hold a valid driver’s and CDL license with a Passenger (P) Endorsement.
- Do Good Bus Hosts work side-by-side with a staff member to help our rides go smoothly – this involves assisting with check-in and pitching in wherever help is needed throughout the ride. This role is perfect for someone who likes to be social and might enjoy a wide variety of volunteer experiences. Ages 18+ please.
The Volunteer Center and The Hub host a wide variety of special events. We’re always looking for friendly volunteers to assist with greeting, serving food and beverages, light cleaning, and more. Special event volunteers enjoy flexible scheduling and a variety of unique experiences! Ages 16+; occasionally family-friendly.
The Volunteer Center is a proud building owner, but that comes with its fair share of challenges for our small staff. We’re always looking for volunteers to assist with ongoing maintenance and/or special one-time projects which may include: minor building or equipment repair, landscaping, and more. Ages 18+ please.
Assist with keeping our café and dining areas clean and welcoming spaces for all guests to enjoy. If you enjoy a quieter, behind-the-scenes way to give back, this might be the perfect way for you to support The Hub and the Volunteer Center. Your impact will be noticed and greatly appreciated! Ages 16+ or family-friendly.
Patio attendants sweep, wipe down tables, and water outdoor plants. It’s a simple way to get involved that means a whole lot to us and our customers! You can volunteer during our regular business hours or help out during Happy Hour (Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m.).
If you’re not seeing a volunteer opportunity that fits the time and/or skills you’re willing to share, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you and it’s almost guaranteed that we can use your help in some way!
